We at KKA believe in 2 things; coffee and simplicity. Through HiBo, we want to introduce quality coffee that is safe for routine consumption. Discover our coffee journey from its origin in Baliem Valley, Papua, until it’s ready for you to brew and enjoy with your family and friends.

Forest Grown and
Chemical Free

As one of the largest traded commodity in the world, coffee is the second most consumed beverage after water. The high demand requires regular coffee farms to use very large amount of pesticides to keep pests away and maintain high quantity yield. Pesticide residue left in the coffee beans can slowly damage our health if consumed regularly for long term.

HiBo use beans from coffee trees that are grown naturally in the forests. Although this means limited production capacity, but this method helps to protect the environment by indirectly preventing the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers, which degrade soil quality and harmful to the surrounding habitat.

Bailem Valley,
Papua

HiBo originates from Baliem Valley in Papua. With an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level, it is home to the Dani, Yali, and Lani tribes.

When Richard Archbold, an American Zoologist, discovered this place in 1938, people in the Baliem Valley were still untouched by the outside world. The tribes lived equipped with simple tools made of stone, bone, and wood.

With captivating surrounding highlands and forests, Baliem Balley remains one of the world’s last traditional area that is still fairly untouched by the modern world.

Visiting Baliem Valley is an unforgettable life experience, and our appreciation towards Baliem Valley makes it an honour for us in KKA to bring and introduce HiBo to the rest of Indonesia.

Arabica Coffee

The high altitude, fertile soil, and pollution free environment allow coffee plant to thrive and grow well. Arabica beans produced have distinct characters and qualities from other coffee beans produced in different area. HiBo is produced in limited quantity to maintain quality as consistent as possible.

We believe that coffee is one of life’s simplest pleasure. Yet, for those with low tolerance towards caffeine and acidity, the side effects could ruin your daily activities. This is why we are committed to produce only low-caffeine and acidity coffee. Full-bodied coffee that is safe for daily consumption.
